Kailyn Grant, 2nd Lieutenant Medical
Kailyn Grant, who’s been an active member of the first aid squad for almost two years, began volunteering when she was a senior at Cranford High School. Eager to explore a career in medicine, Kailyn completed her EMT training at Union County College in May of 2015, before beginning her freshman year as a Biology major at Montclair State University. In addition to obtaining her EMT certification, Kailyn has accrued continuing education credits in pediatric, respiratory and cardiac emergencies, as well as sports injuries from Saint Peters University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Kailyn’s favorite part about volunteering has been the second family she’s acquired while riding on Friday nights. When she’s not spending time at the squad house or studying for her college courses, you can find Kailyn enjoying some peace and quiet while watching Netflix.
